Small town corruption
[info]macgyvergrl
I live in a very small town where the entire borough council and school board consists of relatives of relatives. It seems as though in a town such as this if you don't have a certain name or a substantial bank balance you are nothing. The laws only apply to some, while others can do as they please. If you refuse to sit back and take their crap, they go out of their way to make your life a living hell and you have no where to go for help. The saddest thing is that here a child with a learning disability is the target of the school, kids and teachers alike.
How is it that we live in the supposed greatest country in the world, yet such things go on without any respite? It seems as though that only the rich have a good life here. We all vote for the politicians and yet they care not about what happens to us unless we have six figure incomes or bank account balances.

Where is the help that is supposed to be out there? Why can some get it while others are left in the dust?

If I want my house to remain standing, I leave it alone. If I can't fix it with duct tape or paperclips I call the landlord.

I watch anything with Richard Dean Anderson. There is something with him that no matter what of his I watch it makes me very happy. He is a kind and sweet man and that smile could melt ice.

I would choose Stephen King because he is the best author ever. He has a way with words that is beyond description. The way he can take a simple sentence and chill you to the bone is uncanny. I would love to have that ability even just long enough to write one book.

I would like to have an Asgard from Stargate SG1 for a pet because they are cute and very smart. They help the good and try to maintain peace with even the worst of things.

I watch tv shows and movies on my computer daily because I live with my 6 children and my husband. So most of the time they rule the TV. It sort of works out though because I am a HUGE fan of Richard Dean Anderson and I have all of his wonderful work on here. The other benefit is that there are no annoying commercials to have to sit through.
